West Henderson Hospital is our seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs. Job Description:
Responsible for assessing, organizing, coordinating, implementing, instructing, and evaluating specific outpatient educational and rehabilitation programs related to cardiac rehab. Responsible for sales and marketing efforts to ensure continued business growth across DSH outpatient and subacute service lines with key physicians, post-acute providers, payers and community organizations including community events such as health fairs.
Shift: FULL TIME DAYS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or AMA approved respiratory therapy program. Masters Degree preferred.
Experience:
Five (5) or more years experience working in a healthcare setting. Must be familiar with managing hospital services in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Experience managing budgets, productivity and departmental expenses. Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques, and uses of behavioral change programs and technologies as applied to cardiac rehab. One year in adult respiratory/nursing preferred. Experience in program development and management recommended.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the current AACVPR guidelines and recommendations.
License/Certification:
Current unrestricted professional license/registration as required by the State of Nevada. (RN license or Nevada Practicioner of Respiratory Care License and current Nevada Blood Gas Technologist or general supervisor license. Current BCLS certification, ACLS certification.)
Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide education appropriate to the age and needs of the patients served in the outpatient environment with chronic disease processes. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned department.
