You will assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education, patient intervention and promote effective working relationships.

Join a dynamic Interventional Radiology team where advanced imaging and patient centered care come together. As an Interventional Radiology Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing support for minimally invasive, image guided procedures while ensuring safe, high quality patient care throughout the procedural process. In this role, you will assess and prepare patients, assist during procedures, administer medications, monitor for reactions and support various diagnostic imaging modalities. You will collaborate closely with physicians, technologists and multi disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes and a seamless patient experience.

You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.

Salary range: $62.43 - $92.81 Hourly

Qualifications

  • BSN or MSN – required
  • Current valid California RN license – required
  • At least 3 years of recent ICU, Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology procedural experience – required
  • ACLS, BCLS and PALS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association – required
  • CRN or CCRN Certificate – preferred 
  • Strong IV Skills – strongly preferred
  • Ability to wear lead and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to cover all areas of Radiology, including the clinics, hospitals and future radiology areas
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to remain focused in stressful situations, multitask and prioritize care when competing tasks arise
  • Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
  • Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
