Job Overview: RWJBH is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/ Clinical Educator for our Oncology areas at the Morris Cancer Center at New Brunswick campus. Qualifications: Required: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (required) At least 5 years of nursing experience in Oncology inpatient & outpatient areas. Certification in nursing specialty of given NPDP role (required) 2 years of experience in nursing specialty of given NPDP role (required) Preferred: MSN or must be enrolled in MSN program nearing completion or Doctorate preferred NPDPs for certain specialty areas may also have job specific qualifications, when appropriate Certifications and Licenses Required: BLS and ACLS Certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements: Day Shift Monday – Friday with some weekend commitment required FT Essential Functions: Plan and design orientation plan, develop and provide continuing education, provide in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs for the dedicated orientees Develop and maintain employee records Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice Designs, implements, and evaluates education and training programs using adult learning principles; maintains compliance with regulatory and Provider Unit standards, including contact hour programs and in-service education,   Assesses and identifies skills appropriate for competency validation Disseminates information to departments regarding education/training programs offered by RWJBarnabas Health.
