Job Summary:
The experienced Quality Registered Nurse will be responsible for working closely with assigned areas to facilitate peer review, promote patient safety and support regulatory compliance.
The Quality Nurse will report program metrics to stakeholders on a regular basis.
The Quality Nurse will perform chart and in-person audits to ensure compliance with mandatory requirements.
The Quality Nurse will work in specific assigned areas to understand and promote performance improvement within those areas.
Participation in organizational meetings,
Preparation and participation in regulatory surveys,
Job Specific Requirements:
Prepares root cause analysis documents for submission to regulatory agencies
Participates in organizational meetings; functions as a key PI member and communicates as appropriate within the PI department.
Provides education to clinical and ancillary staff within the organization to help achieve department goals
Participates in multidisciplinary task forces to plan, implement, and evaluate process changes designed to
Improve compliance with core measures
Identifies changes in regulatory requirements; communicates changes to appropriate customers in a timely manner
Prepares for regulatory surveys in collaboration with PI staff and other departments as assigned
Participates in all regulatory surveys including NJDOSS, Joint Commission, CMS, CAP, Division of Mental Health Services
Plans, implements, and evaluates performance improvement activities for assigned clinical, ancillary, and administrative departments.
Develops policies and procedures to support operational outcomes and organizational goals
Coordinates and leads focus groups as assigned
Participates in or leads performance improvement teams as requested
Participates in employee orientation program
Participates in or facilitates fact finding, high-risk occurrence, or sentinel event meetings
Develops strong relationships with managers, department heads, and administration,
Provides support for infection prevention and takes initiatives in Infection Prevention projects.
Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
A NJ RN License and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree are required,
Three to five years' healthcare experience are required.
Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, management, and technology skills,
Must demonstrate team building and collaborative practice behaviors,
Must demonstrate an understanding of performance improvement and quality outcomes' management.
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8-Hour shift
