Registered Nurse (RN) -Surgery Prep Redlands Community Hospital - SURGERY PREP NURSES Redlands, CA Pay Rate Frequency: Hourly Pay Rate Max: 64 Pay Rate Min: 64 Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts Status: Per Diem Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a population based approach to determine patient needs. Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. QUALIFICATIONS:  1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse. 2. Current CPR certification required. 3. ACLS certification preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire for experienced RN’s, required within 6 months of hire for new grad RN’s. 4. PALS certification preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire for experienced RN’s, required within 6 months of hire for new grad RN’s. 5. NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Specialized Nursing Services

In order to meet the critical care needs of our patients, we have created quality nursing teams that can quickly treat patients with conditions that require specific skills.

Our special service nurses work on a few different teams:

  • Rapid Response Team (RRT)
  • Baby Rapid Assessment Team (BRAT)
  • Pneumococcal/Influenza Vaccination
  • Heart Failure Education Core Measure

Nurses on these teams play a critical role in providing patients with life-saving treatments. They have been hand selected for their medical expertise, quick response times, and genuine concern they show for patient wellbeing.
