The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Assists Director of Patient Care with ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing units in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Required: BSN Active RN New Jersey License BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association  Minimum 2 years of acute care experience  Essential Duties: Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education Participates in the interviews and hiring of potential candidates for open positions on the unit Provides input into evaluation and/or corrective action of staff performance in accordance with organization policies Participates in nursing Quality Improvement Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care Ensure that unit/department/division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations Scheduling: 40 hours a week - Day Other Job Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
