Mt. Ascutney Hospital is seeking a part-time or full-time advanced practice provider (APRN or PA) with prior hospitalist or critical care medicine background to join our Hospital Medicine Team! This is a nocturnist position whose primary responsibilities include cross-covering our inpatient and rehabilitation units (total of 35 beds), managing ED admissions, triaging outside transfer requests, and responding to medical emergencies. We are looking for applicants who have interest and experience in rural healthcare and who are able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary setting. The successful candidate will join a team of engaged physicians and advanced practice providers who are focused on delivering excellent inpatient care to an underserved rural community. We do not have an ICU or step-down unit, and procedures or ventilation management is not required. Providers must maintain ACLS credentialing. This position offers flexible shift work that allows for improved work-life balance.
