Job Summary

The ECC Clinical Patient Flow/Coordinator has operational responsibility for a nursing unit which includes accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of the nursing staff, assisting in the development and management of the budget, and the orientation, education and development of the staff.


Required Qualifications

- Require a minimum one (1) year of current emergency RN experience.
- Require Emergency Nursing Pediatrics Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing core Course (TNCC) certifications within six (6) months of the hire-in date.
- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or actively pursuing/completing a BSN within 5 years).
- Prefer two (2) years of emergency RN experience.
- Prefer demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Prefer proven clinical leadership skills demonstrating ability to effectively manage relationships and promote teamwork.
- Prefer knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and commonly used computer applications.
- Prefer the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Prefer proven ability to identify problems, solve problems and exercise independent judgment and demonstrated sound decision-making.
