Partners with site Medical Director and clinic leadership to optimize patient flow, operational efficiency, and access to care.
Supports implementation of enhanced care delivery models designed to improve population health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Participates in performance improvement, data reporting, and outcomes tracking for UVA Radiology and Medical Imaging metrics.
Ensures accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and adherence to UVA Health documentation and compliance standards.

Clinical
Provide comprehensive clinical leadership and direction in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
Perform and document complete histories, physical exams, and pertinent findings.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests; formulate medical diagnoses based on results.
Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, including prescribing appropriate interventions.
Coordinate patient flow, specialty consultations, admissions, and transfers with the care team.
Recognize and respond to emergent situations with appropriate, life-saving interventions.
Communicate and advocate for patients and families, addressing educational needs, treatment options, and age-specific considerations.
Explain and perform designated procedures after demonstrating competency while maintaining all clinical standards and patient confidentiality.
Perform designated musculoskeletal procedures using specified imaging including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound guidance

Acts as a role model to colleagues, interdisciplinary team members, the institution and to the community

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
Experience: Department and unit specific.
Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
