Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) seeks New Graduate Registered Nurses to join Vermont's First Accredited RN New Grad Residency Program. Units include Inpatient Medical Surgical/Telemetry and Emergency Room.

Our program is specially designed to provide support, guidance and help develop a nurse's knowledge and skill during the first year of practice while transitioning into the constantly changing world of healthcare.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care. • Minimum Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum Work Experience:
  • Prior hospital or medical experience preferred.
• Required Licenses/ Certifications:
  • Ability to obtain valid Vermont State Registered Nurse licensure by date of employment required.
  • Health Care Provider BLS, ACLS, PALS certification are required within 90 days of hire.
  • Night shift and rotating weekends/holidays are requirements.
