Job Description Summary Under limited supervision, the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) provides an in-depth plan of care to patients of all ages (neonate to adult) with wounds, ostomies, or continence issues, throughout inpatient units across the division. The role coordinates nursing management and collaborates with other health care providers to implement progressive changes. This position updates clinical practice based on current research and changes in the age and level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of the patient's family. Required: Ability to work in close collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other health disciplines. Knowledge of consultative and operational processes. Ability to travel between MUSC Downtown, MUSC Northeast, and MUSC Kershaw several times a week for consults and weekly assessments.
