The Adult Infusion Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a clinical leader for UCSF Adult Infusion Centers in San Francisco and the East Bay Cancer Network. This CNS partners with other Infusion Services CNS(s) in promoting consistency in practices across sites. The CNS collaborates with the Ambulatory Solid Tumor Nurse Educators, Inpatient Oncology CNS and Adult inpatient CNS teams from all disciplines involved in the care of adult infusion patients. The CNS is experienced and highly skilled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the cancer disease process, comorbidities, major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, patient education and research requirements.
