Responsibilities In this role, you will support the physician in the delivery of health care by performing a variety of medically related tasks. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, and preparing pediatric patients for examination. Greets patints and managers patient care flow. Prepared patients for provider by reviewing currnetmedications and record inmedical record. Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs. Assists provider in examination/procedure rooms as needed. Assists two or more providers with clinical care. Handles all designated clinical care telephone interactions with provider input. Communicates all significant clinical findings to MD. Serves as an advocate for patient and utlizes appropriate resources. Acts as a resource for patients, famiies and medical assistants. Qualifications Required: Possess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners. Possession of CPR certification/BCLS. Possession EKG, Phlebotomy and IV certification Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures. Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed. Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician. Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems. Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers. Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in computerized logging systems.
