You can do all this and more at UCLA Health. As an operating room nurse, you will serve as both a scrub and circulating nurse. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for the proper care of instrumentation and equipment; direct nursing care of patients with an emphasis on patient safety; leading and guiding other clinicians; and teaching of patients, staff, and students. This role has a varied schedule that includes call assignments on nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with: BSN/MSN and current California RN license A minimum of two years of experience as a circulating and scrub nurse in an inpatient operating room Experience with electronic health records Exceptional communication, prioritization, organization and designating skills Thorough knowledge of medical/surgical terminology BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certified Nurse Operating Room preferred ACLS and PALS certification a plus UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles.
