Description The Administrative Nursing Supervisor provides nursing administration on evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts ensuring comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The Nursing Supervisor provides day-to-day management of unit operations, thus allowing the Nursing Services Manager opportunity to focus on long-term planning, budget, goals, outcomes, decision-making and other higher-level management functions. The Nursing Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and department activities on assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor has administrative authority during their assigned shift and is the initial Incident Commander in any situation where Emergency Codes are activated.
