Celebrating Our Nurses Everyday

Celebrating Our Nurses Everyday

In the month of May, we celebrate different kinds of celebration for our Nurses. It is within this month that our nurses celebrate their hard-earned achievements and work throughout their career. Being the month celebrating International Nurses Day held on the 12th of May, also being the birthdate of Florence Nightingale, we all need to ponder and appreciate what our nurses have done and helped all of us in our community.

Being a nurse is not an easy job, like some of us may think. Our nurses handle different cases in their work environment that may result in them being hotheaded, irritable and sometimes difficult to communicate with.

Being a nurse is not an easy job. They handle different kinds of patients, with different attitudes that may result for them carrying heavy burdens even after their assigned duties. They carry these burdens whenever their patients or their watchers have problems within their assigned duties. Some of us may forget that they handle several patients throughout their designated time of work that makes them irritable working and may cause them to be irate in their work environment. Especially nurses assigned in hospitals or healthcare facilities that are overcrowded.

That is why each year, during the 6th of May, we always celebrate National Nurses Day, and this marks the start of our National Nurses Week until the 12th of May. This celebration began in October 1954 that commemorates the 100th anniversary of Nightingale’s service during the Crimean War. The White House has officially designated these dates to recognize our nurses nationwide.

More than 4.3 million nurses have been serving our country and being the backbone of our healthcare system that provides expert and compassionate care for everyone in need of their service.

They have sacrificed their time and strength to give us proper healthcare needs and take care of us. Let us Honor them in the best way that we can.
