The daily census ranges from 40-60+ patients per day with on average 15-20% representing the pediatric population, which we also provide pre-operative support for. Peds Pre-op staff arrive at 0600, with PACU staff arriving between 0730-1100, most working 10 hour shifts, with 8 and 12 hour shifts uncommon but considered on a case by case basis – No weekends, nights or holidays.
