Join our critical access hospital team where you will become a well-rounded nurse by working at the top of your scope. Our nurses are responsible for a variety of skills like IV placement, phlebotomy, code response, and wound care/assessment The nurse residency program is designed to support newly graduated RNs in their transition to hospital nursing practice. An intensive two week orientation with nurse educators will include topics such as: interprofessional collaboration, trauma informed care, opioid and alcohol withdrawal assessment and treatment, ECG interpretation, and wound care. Over the next 10-18 weeks, the nurse resident will be paired with a preceptor to enhance bedside skills and meet with educators for additional clinical skill development.
