Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) Surgical Services is comprised of 12 operating rooms (OR’s). Two ORs belong to Women’s Surgical Services (WSS) and the remainder are housed in the Main OR (MOR). In the MOR, there is a designated room utilized as an Endoscopy suite and another as a Cystoscopy room. There are 9 PACU bays in the MOR and 4 PACU bays in WSS. The PACU department provides staffing to both the MOR and WSS, as well as recovers NORAS, pediatric endoscopy procedures, ERCP’s, EUS’s and the inpatient endoscopy patient population. Patients who undergo cardiac catheterization are recovered by the Cath Lab team within a separate unit. YRMC offers a vast number of surgical procedures with the exception of brain and neurology specialties. Patients who have undergone a cardiac procedure are transferred directly from the OR to the ICU for recovery, bypassing PACU.
