Description This position serves primarily as a Monitor Tech to remotely monitoring 5-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) activities on patients from off-site nursing units, under the supervision of nursing leadership. The EKG MT is responsible for continuous monitoring of EKG, pulse oximetry, ETCO2, respiratory rate (RR), and end-tidal CO2 at the Central Monitor Station. Must be able to recognize EKG components, interpret basic arrhythmias and discern ST-segment changes and QT prolongation. Identify actionable audio and visual alarms.
