Job Description Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team. Our Central Staffing Office Float Pool has competitive shift differentials and pay! All Part Time- and Full-Time positions with our Float Pool are benefited positions. At this time, we only have day shift available if you commit to work every weekend in our Float Pool and you would be paid an additional differential for working weekends. Here is some information regarding our Central Staffing Float Pool: Eligibility & Requirements 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit Float Pool: at least 2 years of experience as an ICU RN Hematology/Oncology Float Pool: at least 2 years of experience as a Hem/Onc RN Emergency Department Float Pool: at least 2 years of experience as an ED RN Medical/Surgical Float Pool: at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in the hospital setting Shift Requirements and Scheduling: All scheduling is self-scheduling Full Time Shift Requirements: 3 12 hour shifts a week 2 12 hour shifts in a 6-week period must be worked on the weekend 2 non-traditional holidays must be worked each year (i.e. Halloween, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, etc.) Part Time Shift Requirements: 2 12 hour shifts a week 2 12 hour shifts in a 6-week period must be worked on the weekend 2 non-traditional holidays must be worked each year (i.e. Halloween, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, etc.) All Full Time and Part Time Float Pool RNs receive a $10 shift diff for all hours worked as a CSO Float Pool RN All Full Time and Part Time Weekend Option Shift Float Pool RNs who work every weekend receive a shift diff of $14/hour on Saturdays and Sundays working day shift Float Pool Campuses Floated to: ICU Float Pool floats to our Egleston and Scottish Rite campuses Hem/Onc Float Pool floats to our Egleston and Scottish Rite campuses ED Float Pool floats to our Egleston, Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding campuses Med/Surg Float Pool floats to our Egleston, Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding campuses Experience •No minimum experience required Preferred Qualifications •Bachelor of Science in Nursing •1 year of experience Education •Graduation from accredited school of nursing Certification Summary •Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact •Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment •Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within 1 year of employment as required by department Knowledge, Skills and Abilities •No minimally required knowledge, skills, or abilities Job Responsibilities PRACTICE (Caring for the Patient) 1.Performs nursing process across the continuum to deliver age and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care. 2.Integrates values and language preferences into healthcare delivery through a culturally sensitive process. 3.Utilizes clinical decision support tools and resources to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plan of care as needed. 4.Utilizes appropriate documentation tools to record, measure, and retrieve healthcare data. 5.Provides patient and family education appropriate for identified learning needs. 6.Utilizes resources to plan and provide nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible. PROFESSIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS 1.Completes orientation and initial assessment of competency successfully by determined due date. 2.Completes mandatory education and annual competency assessment requirements as defined by unit and system by due date. 3.Achieves 75% attendance at staff meetings if applicable.
