The RN Talent Acquisition Strategist recruits and hires for Registered Nursing positions within Methodist Health System, i.e., Staff Nurses, Nurse Management, Nurse Practitioners, etc. will work closely with HR and Nursing Leadership to design and deliver the recruitment solution that enhances Methodist’s ability to attract and retain nurses at all level of experience The strategist ensures business engagement and satisfaction is continually maintained, identifying and implementing innovations and continuous improvement initiatives.


Your Job Requirements:


Active RN license in state of Texas for eligibility of Texas RN license Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in acute care nursing environment preferred. Experience in human resources and social media recruitment preferred.


Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruits and hires for various nursing positions within Methodist Health System

  • Maintains high level of knowledge-base in relation to nursing trends (including pay, culture changes)

  •  Attends job fairs at colleges, universities, conferences, meetings, etc. to effectively communicate Methodist Health System’s mission and values, recruit prospective employees and educate interested parties about Methodist

  • Maintains activity/position reports that accurately display current recruitment activity and position status. Utilizes Workday to actively report status of open positions.

  • Communicates/corresponds with prospective applicants to discuss employment opportunities at Methodist Health System.

  • Maintains responsibility for follow-up with these individuals.

  • Reviews applications/resumes for qualifications, conducts pre-screening interviews as appropriate.

  • Refers qualified applicants for unit or department interview; consults with unit or department and advises in regard to selections; utilizes Workday to refer and track progress of departmental review of applications/interviewing.

  • Partner with marketing firm, HR leadership on nursing recruitment strategy

  • Responsible for social media recruitment campaigns partnering with marketing firm (s), responsible for nursing live and virtual career events

  • Maintain and coordinate recruitment vendor relations and contracts

  • Responsible for the sourcing of nursing candidates for Methodist Health System

  • Identify and execute opportunities to build talent pipelines

  • Understand and maximize the candidate experience within candidate care expectations, protocols/guidelines and ensure KPIs met

  • Provide recruitment expertise, advice and coaching to Hiring Managers on recruitment decisions and market insights

  • Understand the business and be aware of changes which may impact recruitment, stay abreast of candidate market and developments
