Job/Position Summary:
A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering patient care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Tennessee. A Registered Nurse is responsible to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Department Manager/Director, Nursing Supervisor, Associate Directors and the Chief Nursing Officer. A Registered Nurse is responsible for the direction and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Lab Coordinator, Emergency Department Technicians, and Nursing Secretaries.

Continuous: Auditory: Perceiving the variances of sounds, tones and pitches and able to focus on single source of auditory information
Continuous: Vision: Clarity of near vision at 20 inches or less and far vision at 20 feet or more with depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision.
Environmental Conditions
Frequent: Pathogens: Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other contagious illnesses.
