Overview

UVA Community Health is seeking to employ a Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly growing Cardiology Practice in Manassas, Virginia.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm

NO nights or weeks

NO call

Members of our team are:

  • Physician and APP liaisons, championing education and training initiatives
  • Participating and leading various quality and safety committees for an individual hospital or the health system
  • Change agents, identifying and leading process improvement efforts
  • Administrative partners with hospital and medical staff leaders to help facilitate organizational change

Qualifications

Education:

Master's Degree Required

Master's degree in NP program or post Master's NP program. As of January 1, 2005, all new NP graduates must have a Master's Degree. National certification required after January 1, 2000. Continuing education is mandatory for recertification and for continuing regulatory recognition to practice in the State.

Experience:

1+ years of experience working in a physician practice setting

Prefer a candidate that has some Cardiology experience w/stress testing and heart failure patients

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current NP license in appropriate state, registry w/state medical bd, current DEA registry Required

Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills
