We offer a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services to meet the healthcare needs of our community, whose year-round population of 35,000 swells to over 250,000 in the summer months.
Our campus offers four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
In addition, we are affiliated with the Outer Banks Medical Group comprised of multiple primary care, specialty care, and urgent care practices.

Position Summary
The Infection Preventionist I is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program, developed to control the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. Track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing, Clinical Laboratory Science, Associate degree Science
RNs - current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required
MT - current generalist/specialty certification by a nationally recognized board/agency required
2 years experience in healthcare setting
Must obtain Certification in Infection Control within 3 years and recertified every 5 years

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, position.
This position is eligible for full-time team member benefits.
