About Vidant Duplin Hospital
Vidant Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina and has 20 practicing physicians on its active medical staff. Vidant Duplin serves Duplin County and surrounding communities in Eastern North Carolina with a population of approximately 60,000 people. On an annually basis, it serves 3,800 inpatients and over 52,000 outpatients (including nearly 30,0000 ED visits), in addition to a surgical volume of 2,050.
Position Summary
Primary duties will be related to community COVID initiatives both within and external of the organization. Responsible for creating the first impression of the organization's services to patients and families and other external customers.
Work in a COVID related role within the Vidant Health System, in varying settings that may include regional medical clinic settings, office environments, mobile testing sites, laboratory settings, and/or hospital settings. Support Vidant's mission to meet the needs of region wide communities in response to the COVID pandemic, related resources, testing initiatives, treatment options, and vaccination initiatives.
RN: The Staff Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care and supervise departmental partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Staff Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patien's status, and interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his or her age and condition.
LPN: Assist in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and weather variations
Basic computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice
Flexibility in scheduling to meet the twenty four hour needs of patients
Possess organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to utilize effective and confidential communication
Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications
Maintains stable performance levels under conditions of pressure and multiple demands
