The intensive care unit at Piedmont Rockdale;
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 18 beds
Patient population consist of chest pain, CHF, renal disease, DKA, digestive disease, pulmonary disease and standard critical care patients. Nursing competency includes BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, CRRT, and ICU nursing care.
All units provide services to a robust patient population with many opportunities to expand your professional practice and experience. You will grow your skills and have many opportunities to enroll in education that offers CEU’s. We offer our nurses many opportunities to get involved via the shared governance council, unit-based councils, and a plethora of committees so your voice is always heard. Our practice and service to our community aligns with the Piedmont Promise.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
