We are looking for a Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Surgical Services Department at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka.
Location: Eureka, CA
Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly Hours
Shift: 8 hour, Days
The Registered Nurse First Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills through the utilization of the nursing process to assist patients of various ages in achieving maximum health potential. The Registered Nurse First Assistant functions as a health team member through independent, interdependent and dependent roles within the health care system. Serving as the patient's advocate, the RNFA assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing care for patients of various ages as defined by the department of scope of service.
Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing school and/or proof of licensure by the state of California. Completed a RNFA program that meets AORN recommended education standards for RN first assistant programs and is accepted by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN).
Experience : Acute care experience in the OR is required. Recent RNFA experience is preferred.
