The Clinical Decision and Observation Service is a 48 private bed unit. The foundation for this unit is based on outpatient/observation services which encompasses both medical and intermediate levels of care to patients. Within the unit reside a 13 bed admission area and a 19 bed observation area and a 16 bed unit that is utilized for the influx of patients and medical overflow. The goal of the Clinical Decision Unit is to provide safe, quality care for patients with various disease processes through the admission process and observation services.

Job Summary: The Associate Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and coordinating patient care as well as the clinical care delivery process as directed by the Clinical Manager. The Associate Manager serves as a role model and resource to staff.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program. BSN or equivalent Bachelor's degree preferred. Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina. Minimum of three years nursing experience required with one year of experience being related to the patient population(s) and/or specialty of the unit. Evidenced expertise in clinical judgment and leadership ability. Current CPR certification required.
