St. Mary’s Medical Center is home to twelve state-of-the-art surgical suites, and two DaVinci Robots, with a Cardiovascular Hybrid OR opened in Fall 2018. We are a Level-II trauma center which functions as a Level-I because we are the largest most specialized hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City.  Our service lines include:  Bariatrics, Robotics, General Surgery, Orthopedics including Ortho-Trauma and Ortho-Spine, Neuro-surgery, OB-GYN, Cardiovascular and Thoracic (including open heart), ENT, Plastics, Pediatrics, and Urology. We pride ourselves in providing the finest, most advanced, personalized patient care in Western Colorado.Offering four ten hour shifts per week,1100 -2130 plus call and weekend rotation.

Your day.

As an OR Nurse you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:

• 
  
• Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situations
  
• Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients 
  
• Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR
  
• Function as an integral part of the clinical team
  
• Follow hospital, regulatory, policy and professional guidelines
  
• Communicate professionally and effectively with patients and the OR team
  

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• 
  
• ASN/ADN or BSN from an accredited program
  
• BSN required within 4 years of your hire unless you have a minimum of 15 years of proven, continuous, acute care experience
  
• Current Colorado RN license
  
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
  
• Two years of OR nursing experience, preferred
