Job Description

All staff members at Yakima Valley Memorial must be in compliance with the Vaccination Policy, which includes the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine, by their first day of employment.

The Emergency Department (ED) at Yakima Valley Memorial averages 245 daily visits making it one of the busiest in Washington State. RNs in Memorial's ED enjoy the full support of Shift Coordinators, Assistant Nurse Managers, and NACs – both day and night. They also enjoy support from a 24-hour Lift Team, 24-hour Respiratory Team, Pharmacy (med mixing 24 hours a day), Social Workers and Chaplains.

ROLE SUMMARY

The RN completes individualized patient assessments; develops a care plan based on assessment/history findings; delivers patient-centered care that is culturally appropriate; evaluates a patient's response to care and revises as needed. The RN is accountable to deliver care as well as to oversee and delegate to other personnel (clinical & non-clinical) in delivering/supporting the delivery of care.
