Children’s is seeking RNs for our CICU at our Egleston Campus. As the largest cardiac program in the Southeast and one of the top five largest pediatric heart centers in the nation, the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Heart Center provides exceptional treatment to infants, children and teenagers who have complex heart defects.
- Our 32-bed unit is one of the largest dedicated pediatric CICU's in the Southeast
- Our Surgical volumes are some of the highest in the country, with excellent survival rates and average lengths of stay shorter than national benchmarks.
- The American Association on Critical-Care Nurses recognized out CICU with the Silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing
- One year of RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- previous pediatric cardiac experience preferred

PROFESSIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Completes orientation and initial assessment of competency successfully by determined due date.
- Completes mandatory education and annual competency assessment requirements as defined by unit and system by due date.
- Achieves 75% attendance at staff meetings if applicable.
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
