It’s Work That Matters.
This is a great opportunity for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner interested in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics to work with children and youth in the ambulatory setting and provide nursing and medical services emphasizing health promotion and prevention, as well as the diagnosis and management of developmental and behavioral conditions. Services include but are not limited to ordering, conducting and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies in a cost efficient manner. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Serves as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocate. Demonstrates commitment to patient and family focused care. This position is an 8 hour shift, no nights, no Holidays M - F, 8AM -5PM
Qualifications: Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with pediatric experience or pediatric nurse practitioner with behavioral and developmental experience.
License, Registration or Certification Required: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing for "hold out as a Nurse Practitioner" as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code. Current California Registered Nurse License and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Current BCLS certification required. National certification as appropriate - preferred. Eligible for Furnishing License - required.
