Providence is calling a RN to its Medical, Surgical Unit at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. This is a full-time, night shift position. Shift hours are 1900-0730, with participation in the team's weekend and holiday rotation. Providence Medford Medical Center is a certified Level 3 trauma center and nationally recognized for excellent stroke care. Our Medical/Surgical, Oncology unit (2 East) is a 35 bed inpatient unit that provides care for a combination of general medical and post-surgical patients. Our nurses care for a wide variety of diagnoses and surgical procedures, making it an excellent learning environment. In addition, the unit sees a small population of oncology and pediatric patients as we continue to grow those service lines. 2 East is a fast paced, team oriented unit with a strong commitment to delivering safe, quality patient care.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) that will provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Key functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.
