Electroconvulsive Therapy (Unscheduled, Day shift) 1 shift/week -

The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Nurse-Relief utilizes discretion and independent judgment to direct or perform day-to-day operations of the ECT program; ensures thorough and timely billing; uses resources within budgetary and productivity guidelines; ensures the provisions of quality care for ECT patient; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism; supports a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred (currently enrolled or immediate plan to enroll in Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) program). Minimum one year of Medical-Surgery/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience preferred. Minimum two years of Psychiatric experience preferred.
Ability to: read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position and performs technical patient care activities. Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) preferred.
