Job Description

The goal of case management is the provision of quality and cost-effective healthcare services. The case manager realizes this goal by organizing rehabilitation healthcare services to promote optimal outcomes for the individual. The process includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the services and resources needed to respond to the individual’s healthcare needs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Licensed Vocational Nurse with prior case management and workers compensation experience or Medical Assistant with case management and workers compensation experience or A prior Claims Examiner with loss time experience and medical knowledge preferred.

  2. Candidates with experience in rehabilitation of catastrophically ill/injured individuals preferred.

  3. Candidates must maintain continuing education as appropriate to their specific licensure requirements and case management renewals if applicable.

  4. Familiarity with resources available regarding the regulations and parameters of third-party reimbursement and the workers compensation system of CA.
