Novant Health is seeking a NICS RN. This nurse serves as a partner for the hospital, doctor, and patient and/or patient's family, utilizing the nursing process in providing each patient with a remarkable patient experience and the highest quality care. The NICS/Hospitalist nurse's primary role is to assist in ensuring continuity of care, patient satisfaction, and positive patient outcomes. The NICS/Hospitalist Nurse proactively collaborates with the hospitalist care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient care from the point of admission to the hospital, through discharge and hand-off to a community care provider. This nurse develops strong partnerships with the inpatient and out patient nursing and medical staff to deliver quality, cost effective, efficient care.   • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and BSN. Internal candidates who meet the requirements for this position but do not currently possess a baccalaureate degree may be placed in the role but must: Show evidence of enrollment and registration in a program within six months of promotion. Complete the program within 24 months of transfer. Failure to do so will result in removal from the position. The employee will be provided an opportunity to transition to any open available staff level position for which they are qualified required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two to three years of clinical experience in acute care setting required. Prior demonstrated leadership preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. BLS Healthcare provider required.
  • Additional skills required: Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Must complete the medical group Central Verification Office credentialing process per policy. Must have sufficient clinical knowledge and experience to provide clinical competence and meet facility standards of care. Must have interpersonal skills to deal harmoniously with staff, patients, and patients' family members.
