Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of accredited nurse practitioner program; M.S.in nursing required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in high risk neonatal care experience required.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: RN license, approved to practice as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by Board of Medical Examiners required. Certified by NCC required.
  • Additional skills required: Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Additional skills preferred: Physical requirements: Stand and move around majority of the day; climb (to reach patient care equipment); lift patients and equipment; push/pull wheelchairs, carts and beds; sit occasionally; bend and stoop; manual dexterity; run; negotiate stairs; see, hear, speak, smell, and touch.
