Job Description

The Preoperative Evaluation and Planning Center Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with staff and physicians in an active practice to deliver preoperative health care services to patients and families. Major functions include performing a pre-operative evaluation and medical screening of patients having anesthesia for a surgery or procedure, offering recommendations for pre-operative care management, supporting patient and family decision making, supplementing physician and staff communication, educating staff members regarding pre-operative care issues, collaborating with the surgical team for pre-operative management.

- CA RN License
- CA NP National Certification
- MSN with FNP Nurse Practitioner Specialty
- BLS
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Nurse Practitioner - required (3-5 years preferred)
- Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel
