Job/Position Summary:

The Nurse Resident participates in patient care under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse until licensed. After passing the NCLEX licensing examination and has an active RN license in the state of TN, applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.

Position Shift:

  • Full-time hours 36-40 hours per week is required during the first year of the Nurse Residency Program.
