Job Description
Position Objective:
The incumbent will assume principle responsibility under general supervision, for the total care, assessment, implementation and evaluation of each patient assigned to the Patient Care Unit either directly and/or through leadership of personnel. He/she will develop and/or revise a plan of care. The incumbent will initiate healthcare training and education to the patient and/or patient's family to facilitate recovery. Utilizes principles of teaching and learning to assist patients, staff and self in the identification of the need for new knowledge and skills.
Education/Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Active licensed Nurse in the State of Maryland and/or compact state.
CPR/BLS & ACLS required.
Experience Requirements:
One (1) year previous experience in Med/Surg. Nursing unit within the past five (5) years required.
