Our Perioperative Services include PreOp, PACU, Imaging Nursing, OR, PAT, Sterile Processing, etc. These areas utilize latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible to our patients. Our SMC Mary Black campus conducts ~5,000 surgeries annually and our SMC Level I Trauma campus orchestrates ~20,000 surgeries annually. Our organization provides surgical services for open heart, robotics, minimally evasive surgeries, general surgery, GYN surgery, ortho, neuro, ENT, plastics, etc.
Position Summary
The Perioperative Director of Nursing, under the guidance of the Vice President of Perioperative Services, is responsible for collaborating with Perioperative Business Services Director, medical staff, peers, managers, and clinical associates to plan, organize, direct and monitor the total clinical and administrative functions of the Perioperative Department under their span of control, as well as other clinical areas as it relates to age-specific populations. This individual is encouraged to support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s involvement in the community we serve. Collaborates with department associates in developing and implementing the SRHS culture, vision, mission and goals.
