Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Day Shift, 0.8 FTE) to the Assisted Living Department at Providence Mount St. Vincent in City, Washington.

The Licensed Nurse is responsible for intake assessment, annual and significant change assessment, and service planning for our residents in Assisted Living. Responsible for resident care coordination with providers, dietary and pharmacy.

In this position you will:

  • Provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for residents and patients in a skilled nursing and transitional care environment
  • Be accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to residents and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan
  • Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs of those we serve
  • Foster a learning environment for resident/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team including students
  • Facilitate formal and informal learning for resident/families, nursing, other members of the healthcare team, and community
  • Lead and coordinate teams, appropriately delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (New hires must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Food Handler’s Permit (New Hires must obtain within 14 days of hire)
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • Demonstration of leadership skills with the ability to coordinate a team
  • Ability to function at a high level of autonomy while partnering closely with interdisciplinary team members including Physicians, ARNPs, Nursing Assistants, Therapists and Social Workers
  • Ability to work (4) 8 hour shifts Mon-Fri within the 8am to 5pm timeframe
