Summary
Position Summary:
The CNA- Home Health/Hospice Aide performs duties involving direct, hands-on, patient care in patients' homes without the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Aide demonstrates prudent, cost-effective, yet patient-oriented decision-making, i.e. clinical and technical independent thought and action. The Aide remains respectful of patient's home and property. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.
Requirements:
***High School Diploma/General Education Diploma
***Must be South Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Assistant (HHA)
***One year of experience as Hospital or Nursing Assistant in a Senior Nursing Facility
***Valid SC Driver's License with good driving record
***Current CPR certification or ability to pass test during orientation and maintain
***Must complete a minimum of 12 contact hours continuing education annually
Preferred:
Experience in medical terminology preferred.
