Emory Healthcare nurses are redefining CVOR care.
At Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, you will join a team that is setting the pace for surgical care to advance medical discoveries and outcomes on behalf of our patients.
We perform over 1,200 cases per year encompassing all facets of cardiothoracic surgery such as coronary bypass, root replacement, complex repairs of the aorta and aortic valve, VADS, and robotics. As an early adopter of robotic assisted surgery in 2002, we have performed over 3,000 mitral valve surgeries with a 98% repair rate, leading the world in volume and outcomes. Our robotic program includes mitral valve, myxoma, tricuspid valve, congenital defects and robotic coronary artery bypass grafting. Our thoracic surgery program is a leader in robotic surgery performing total esophagectomy, lobectomy, wedge resection and other surgeries on the chest. We are a mentor site for training and advancement of cardiac and thoracic robotic assisted surgery. This and our team sets us apart from other programs in the country.
