Position Summary: The Registered Nurse II in the Operating Room, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Orientation will be 7-3:30 M-F. Schedule will most likely be 8hr shift, 5 days a week, usually M-F days/afternoon shifts, rotating weekends, holiday and call time. Once orientation is completed final shifts (days/afternoons) will be determined by department staffing needs
Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ experience circulating in multiple surgical specialties in an acute hospital setting. Pediatrics experience preferred; scrub experience desirable. Ability to assess effectiveness of patient care; maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex patient care; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, current CA RN License, American Heart Association CPR and PALS required.
