Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for experienced nurses to join our Critical Care Unit team!
Do you enjoy a puzzle? Like to analyze and look for changing trends? On the Critical Care Unit you’ll be closely monitoring patients and caring for complex changing situations. Our unit provides holistic care with ideal ratios of 1 nurse to 2 patients. We are exposed to wide array of medical and surgical patients of all age ranges requiring cardiac monitoring and focused exams. Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. BSN preferred. Completes annual educational requirements.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license. Must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State licensure
Certification(s): Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate. ACLS, PALS, TEAM and BERT
Registered Nurse II: Advancement from RN I or a minimum of one (1) year continuous recent experience in a comparable patient care setting. Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one (1) float area required within one year of attaining RN II status.
Registered Nurse III: Minimum of three years (3) current clinical experience. Advancement from RN III based on BRH Clinical Nurse Advancement Program; approval of Professional Practice Review Board. Proficiency in clinical competency in primary specialty; minimum of one (1) float area.
Practice Notice: All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen prior to start of employment.

In lieu of fringe benefits, PRN employees receive an hourly differential in addition to their hourly base rate of pay:
PRN I Hourly Differential: 10% of base rate of pay
PRN II Hourly Differential: 20% of base rate of pay
PRN III Hourly Differential: 25% of base rate of pay
