Clinical Observation Unit - Clinical Supervisor, RN

Northside Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor to join our Progressive Care Team at Northside Cherokee. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for directing the day to day operations of patient care staff in our PCU. Clinical Supervisors will support unit operations by making appropriate patient assignments, setting patient care priorities and goals, and by assisting, evaluating and educating clinical staff members. The Clinical Supervisor will be well versed in hospital policy and procedure; will be clinically competent and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the PCU patient population. Clinical Supervisors will provide high quality, compassionate and safe patient care, and counsel staff to do the same.

As an important member of the PCU Leadership team, the Clinical Supervisor will participate in the hiring and selection of new staff members, and assist with their onboarding and orientation processes. The Clinical Supervisor will contribute to the development of clinical competencies, and in evaluation of staff member’s clinical and professional performance. Clinical Supervisors will provide direct patient care, as required, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Clinical Supervisors will coordinate the admission and discharge of patients, and serve as a liaison between clinical staff, patients and their families.
