Job Description


Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Heritage House in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Heritage House is located in the heart of the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. This is a full-time position offering benefits.

In this position you will:

  • Act as an advocate for patients in maintaining choice, independence, privacy, dignity and security.
  • Provide appropriate patient care as directed by a licensed nurse.
  • Assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) licensure
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, or within 30 days of hire
  • First Aid certificate, or within 30 days of hire
  • Food Handler's Permit, or within 14 days of hire
  • Three months of experience in long term or geriatric care
  • Required within 120 days of hire:
  • Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants training
  • 70 hours Basic Training Mental
  • Health Specialty Training
  • Dementia Specialty Training

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 6 months of nursing assistant experience
  • Prior patient care experience in sub-acute, long term care and/or with Alzheimer’s or Dementia patients
