We are looking for a Peer Review RN with Risk Management Department at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.

Location: Mission Viejo, CA

Schedule: Full-time 80 Biweekly Hour

Shift: 8 Hour Day Shift

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director Risk Management, Regulatory, Patient Safety & Peer Review, the peer review clinical specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and the ongoing evaluation of the physician peer review program and nursing peer review process. This position works independently and in collaboration with physician leaders and nursing leaders. The position requires strong clinical analytical skills, problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables. Position conducts mortality reviews and designs and implements actions to address trends in performance involving peer review and or event investigations.

Skills: Critical thinking and analytical skills.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience: 3 years Recent acute care hospital experience in a progressive leadership role.

License and Certificate: California RN License.

Preferred Position Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or Health related field.


  • Experience in the areas of Critical Care.
  • Experience in the area of nursing or medical staff peer review.

License and Certificate: CPHQ or equivalent certification.
